Robert Wiedenbeck initially trained and worked as a hearing care professional before completing a B.Sc. in Hearing Acoustics at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Lübeck. In his bachelor’s thesis, he investigated bioacoustic signal classification using machine learning methods.
He then obtained an M.Sc. in Hearing Acoustics and Audiological Technology at the University of Lübeck, focusing on speech intelligibility, listening effort, psychoacoustic measurement methods, and data-driven analysis.
During his studies, he also gained practical experience at the German Institute of Hearing Aids (DHI) in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited testing environment.
Since 2026, he has been a research associate at the Institute of Psychology, University of Lübeck.
